How many Costco pizzas do I need?
Whole pizzas
Per person
Whole pizza or single slices?
Whole, if you're feeding more than a couple of people. A single $1.99 slice is one sixth of a pizza, so six of them cost $11.94, while the whole pizza is $9.95. That works out to $1.66 per big slice, or $0.83 per standard slice when it's cut into 12.
A whole pizza is cut into 12 slices by default. If you'd like the same big slices as the single-slice counter, ask for it cut into 6. Ordering whole pizzas for a party is easiest if you call your warehouse's food court ahead to ask how much notice it needs.
The $1.50 hot dog
The hot dog and soda combo has cost $1.50 since 1985, and Costco has said it intends to keep it there. Costco sells hundreds of millions of these combos a year. It's a draw to get members into the warehouse rather than a profit maker.
Rotisserie chicken
Strictly speaking it's sold in the deli, not the food court, but the other famous Costco bargain is the $4.99 rotisserie chicken. Its price has stayed at $4.99 even through years when other prices rose, including in 2022 when the chicken bake and sodas went up.
