Afterpay isn't on Costco Australia's list. In the warehouse, Costco takes cash, Visa, Mastercard, debit cards and Apple Pay. American Express and Google Pay aren't listed either. To buy or renew a membership, Costco takes Visa or Mastercard, credit or debit.

"Not listed" means Costco Australia's payment FAQ doesn't mention it, not that it's been refused. A search for Afterpay on costco.com.au also finds nothing.
The rules
- You need a membership to pay. Show your card at the register each time. Guests can come in, but only members can buy, by cash or card.
- Executive reward: it can be spent at staffed warehouse checkouts, not at self-checkout, the fuel station, the food court or online. See Costco Australia membership.
