Costco bakery: how to order cakes and cookie trays
You can order a custom Costco bakery cake in the Costco app (not on Costco.com) or on the paper order form in the warehouse. Online cake orders need a verified membership and must be placed at least 3 days and no more than 2 weeks before pickup. Cookie trays are the only other bakery item you can pre-order in the app.

When can I order a cake?
Uses your device's date and Costco's 3-day and 2-week limits for app orders. Paper orders in the warehouse may work differently, so ask the bakery.
How to order in the Costco app
- Sign in to the Costco app with an account connected to a verified membership.
- Open the Warehouse tab and choose Warehouse Ordering. If you don't see it, update the app.
- Pick your cake and customizations, your warehouse and a pickup date.
- You'll get a confirmation email with pickup instructions, the estimated total, and how to change or cancel.
- Limit: up to 5 cakes with the same customization per order. Different designs need separate orders; for more than 5, call the warehouse.
- Changes or cancelling: contact the warehouse you picked for pickup.
- Cookie trays: the only other bakery item Costco lets you order in advance in the app. Costco's FAQ gives the 3-day and 2-week timing for custom cakes, so check the app for cookie tray dates.
- Paper orders: Costco still takes them at the bakery in the warehouse.

Costco doesn't publish separate bakery hours. Your confirmation email has the pickup instructions, and warehouse hours are on Costco hours.
