Costco hours: what time does Costco open and close?
Most U.S. Costco warehouses are open 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Executive members can shop from 9 a.m. on weekdays at most warehouses.
From Costco's own store locator data for 660 U.S. locations, as of October 10, 2026.
Based on your device's clock and the usual hours below. A few warehouses keep different hours, so check yours if you're cutting it close.
Usual Costco warehouse hours
| Day | Opens | Closes | Executive early entry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday to Friday | 10 a.m. | 8:30 p.m. | 9 a.m. |
| Saturday | 9:30 a.m. | 7 p.m. | Varies |
| Sunday | 10 a.m. | 6 p.m. | Varies |
567 of the 660 U.S. locations in Costco's store locator (86%) keep exactly these hours. Another 56, most of them in California, stay open an hour later on Sunday, until 7 p.m. A handful of others differ by half an hour here and there, so the hours on your warehouse's page always win.
Executive member early hours
At most U.S. warehouses, Executive members can come in at 9 a.m. on weekdays, an hour before Gold Star and Business members. Costco began enforcing this on September 1, 2025, so other members may be turned away until 10 a.m.. Weekend early hours differ from warehouse to warehouse, and Costco itself only says early hours "may be available" locally. Wondering if the upgrade pays for itself? See Costco Executive membership: early hours and is it worth it?
Costco gas station hours
Gas stations keep longer hours than the warehouse. At the warehouses we checked on Costco.com, gas opened at 6 a.m. every day and closed at 10 p.m. on weekdays, 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and between 7:30 and 8 p.m. on Sunday. Gas hours are set by each warehouse, though, so check its page. Find a Costco gas station near you.
Pharmacy, food court and tire center hours
- Pharmacy: usually opens before the warehouse, around 9 a.m., and was closed on Sunday at the warehouses we checked. When only one pharmacist is on duty, Costco says the pharmacy may close for 30 minutes between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
- Tire center: the same hours as the warehouse, Costco says.
- Food court, optical and hearing aids: Costco lists only a phone number for these, and says any service with only a phone number keeps the warehouse's hours. See food court prices.
Business Center hours
Costco Business Centers keep different hours: 27 of them are listed as open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. They're also open on Easter, when regular warehouses close. See all 27 Costco Business Centers.
Holiday hours
Costco closes U.S. warehouses on seven holidays: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. On other holidays, like Veterans Day (Wednesday, November 11, 2026) and Black Friday, warehouses are open. See Costco holiday closures for every date.
