Why it differs by province
- Nova Scotia lists Boxing Day as a retail closing day, and Remembrance Day has its own closing law.
- New Brunswick's Days of Rest Act closes most stores on Remembrance Day and Boxing Day.
- Newfoundland and Labrador's Shops' Closing Act does the same.
- Manitoba keeps most stores closed until 1 p.m. on Remembrance Day.
- Quebec warehouses open at 1 p.m. on Boxing Day, on Costco's own schedule.
Costco.ca's warehouse pages for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland already list "Remembrance Day: Closed".
Gas stations and Business Centres
- Gas: Costco says gas station hours follow their warehouse's holiday closures, so the pumps are closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and on any day your warehouse is closed. See Costco gas in Canada.
- Business Centres (Costco's published 2026 schedule): 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Boxing Day (Quebec from 1 p.m.), and no deliveries on Boxing Day or January 2. See Business Centres in Canada.
